Geysers and Moose and Bears…oh my!

Yellowstone was incredible! The kids loved seeing Old Faithful so much that we actually went to watch the eruption two different times.

Let’s back up a bit though…

Before heading to Yellowstone we left Salt Lake City and drove to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. We took highway 89, which was a gorgeous drive, and spent a little bit of time exploring Logan, Utah on the way. Logan enjoyed reading the signs all over town. The kids thought that it was cool to visit a town named Logan (our oldest) and a town named Jackson (our youngest is Jaxon) in the same day. Of course, Juliana felt a bit left out so we are on a quest to find somewhere to visit with her name…(please comment with suggestions!)

We were able to spend some time in the Tetons. Highlights included playing at the lake, Kirsten rescuing lady when she wouldn’t drop the huge stick (she almost sank, silly girl), and seeing a mama bear with two baby cubs.

In Yellowstone, we spent time at Old Faithful and at many of the other beautiful geysers and pools. Dragon’s Mouth, Mud Volcano, and the Paint Pots were among the favorites. Also, we saw two Moose! (Would that be meese?… anyways…) The kids were ecstatic and it was really neat!

Today was a long drive day but we are now safely in Whitefish, Montana and are looking forward to adventures in Glacier tomorrow. Comment with any must see places we need to go, we have never been before and are so excited!

Here is a look at some of the fun:

(I will try to add photos when the wifi allows, it seems to dislike the uploads at the moment)
