We have had a crazy spring and a start to a crazy summer. While we had to cancel the majority of our travels this summer (5 weeks to be exact.) We are making the best of it and enjoying the adventures we are able to take locally when weather and state lockdowns permit.
One of our adventures this summer is welcoming Rosey into our family! Rosey came to us from Islandgold Retrievers. They are local to Washington and breed some amazing Golden Retrievers. We couldn’t be happier with her. She is related to Willow. (Both Willow and Rosey have the same Grandma Amber. We got to meet her today when we picked up Rosey.)
Juliana had a birthday yesterday. Since we are normally on the road for her birthday and always have plenty of adventures on her birthday she requested that everything we do on her birthday weekend be a surprise. We have had a weekend packed with ice cream trips, campfire doughnuts, bbqing with friends, birthday cake celebrating with family, and last but not least picking up Rosey!
This morning we woke the kids up (the first time in forever since we have been in lockdown) and hurried them out of the house for THE big surprise! After getting coffee and scones we headed down to Sultan to Islandgold Retrievers to pick up Rosey. Three kids in the back seat, having absolutely no idea where we were headed.
When we arrived, we showed up at a “random house” and told them to go knock on the door. The door opened and out ran two golden retrievers very excited to see us all. The kids still confused were ushered back to the backyard, which was filled with puppies! At this point in time they realized what we were doing and could not help but touch and pick up every puppy there was. Hugging, running around the yard, playing with them and checking each of them out. It was only after a wonderful visit and lots of puppy snuggles we left an hour later with Rosey in hand.
She is the perfect addition to our family. Sweet, fun, energetic and so far hasn’t caused any trouble. (Haha) Over the next several days she will get to meet the big kids (Gus, Willow and Lady) and play with them. Be on the look out for lots of picture updates.
